Over the last week a big focus of ours was to provide better tools to evaluate management compensation. We kicked that off by completely overhauling our Remuneration tab! Users can now drill down on all facets of an executive’s pay. We then added a line for the CEO-to-Employee Pay Ratio to every company’s newly overhauled Remuneration tab and About Page. Finally, we made significant updates to the About page by adding y/y % to all displayed metrics. As always, we really appreciate all of your feedback. ? The New Remuneration Tab
It’s important to understand how a company’s management team is compensated. Are their goals aligned with shareholder and stakeholder interests? What’s the magnitude of their pay? Is it top-heavy or are they investing to attract and develop talent to outperform their peers through market cycles? While there’s more work to be done, we took a big step this week towards helping user’s answer those questions with our newly overhauled Remuneration tab. The tab contains all facets of an executive’s compensation with detailed breakdowns of each type of pay.
? CEO-to-Employee Pay Ratio
As mentioned above, understanding the magnitude of a CEO’s pay compared to a company’s employees is an important indicator of culture and risk. We have featured the CEO-to-Employee Pay Ratio directly on a company’s About page as well as a line item on their Remuneration tab.
? About Page Updates
In addition to adding the CEO-to-Employee Pay Ratio as a line item, we’ve made other important updates to the About Page this week; such as y/y% changes to all displayed metrics. We believe it’s important to provide a holistic view of companies on the About Page and we will continue to add additional financial, extra-financial and governance research to public company profiles as it becomes available.
