Welcome to our development update for the month of April. We hope everyone is well and enjoying the warm(er) Spring weather. April’s update may just be our biggest yet! This month we’d like to introduce you to our new search engine as well as a reimagining of our Holistic Analysis solution.

No longer will you be limited to searching for a company or organization name and then clicking through pages of results. Instead, just search for what you are looking for (i.e. Facebook Privacy Policies, JPMorgan Board Oversight of Climate Issues, Apple Earnings Transcripts, etc) and click on the result to view it. If the result is a value that contains both quantitative and qualitative information, simply click back-and-forth between the Time Series Analysis and Qualitative Analysis tools within our Holistic Analysis solution to review how the numerical values and text-based explanations of the value’s drivers have changed over time. Your workspace will remain in sync regardless of the type analysis you are performing. More on both below.

As always, we thank you for your feedback and continued support. Your input is invaluable to our development and we are excited to get these new features into your hands. Be on the look out for an exciting announcement from us this week at GreenFin 21! If you are attending, stop by and say hello! Let’s get started!

New Search Engine!

Based on beta polling, the number one challenge of using Verity has been our search engine. So we are extremely excited to introduce you to the new and (much) improved Verity search engine. Instead of being limited to searching for company and organization names and clicking through pages of results, one can simply search for what they are looking for. We also maintained an ability to zero in your results on one particular company if you wish.

Example: Say you are trying to find information on “American Water Works”, but some unrelated water research is creating noise in your results. Simply click the binoculars icon within the search field and type “American Water Works”, select the name, and then enter whatever topic you are looking for in the main search field. All of your results will now only be applicable to American Water Works. There are undoubtedly further improvements to be made, but Verity’s new search engine is light years ahead of its prior iteration.

✔️ A Reimagining of Verity’s Holistic Analysis Solution

Over the last few weeks we have implemented a reimagining of our Holistic Analysis solution. Along with a complete facelift, considerable improvements have been made under the hood. Users are now provided with a roomier workspace, more charting tools, and a unified interface that follows users as they transition between the quantitative and qualitative analysis tools. The consistency of the research experience allows users to more seamlessly explore and compare data series from numerical or text-based perspectives. Together, it provides a deeper, more actionable research experience.
