Welcome to another development update for Verity, the first sustainable finance platform. We hope everyone is enjoying the “spooky season” and gearing up for a fun Halloween this weekend. Much is afoot around the halls of Verity Platforms, but what we are most excited to share with you today is the rollout of Phase 1 of our Verity AI integration. While we are not ready to reveal Phase 2 or 3 quite yet (it’s very much worth the wait!), we will dive into Phase 1 below and demonstrate how you can utilize it to support your research processes.

✔️ Verity AI Rollout: Phase 1

One of the first areas on Verity you’re likely to notice the benefits of Verity AI integration is (company) publications. It can be a time consuming effort to locate key information within publications, however with Verity AI we tell you exactly the type of information you will encounter – and importantly – its prevalence. Theme Prevalence is broken down into four magnitudes that approximately translate to:

Major – there is likely a full section dedicated to exploring the theme

Minor – there is likely at least a paragraph dedicated to exploring the theme

Micro – there is likely at least a few sentences dedicated to exploring the theme

Trace – the theme is mentioned at least in passing, but don’t expect much

 

At first glance it may appear superfluous to include Micro or Trace magnitude levels, but Verity was built by experienced researchers that understand some disclosures are easier to locate than others. Sometimes the most comprehensive disclosure one is going to find is a few sentences in a document. We want to make sure we can identify and surface such instances for our users. Filters will be added in the next deployment that allow users to filter any page with documents down to particular themes and magnitude levels.

Curious about the topics of discussion within Facebook’s (ahem, Meta’s) Code of Conduct document? As indicated in the image above, one of the Major themes is “Customer Privacy.” In the image below, one can in-fact verify that there is a section on “Customer Privacy.”

?️Creating Research on Verity? Leverage Verity AI!

Verity is more than a platform for consuming information, it’s also a platform for creating new research, delivering it to markets, and then acting upon (and documenting) it. Verity supports those organizational efforts via an assigned “Integration Strategist” and existing platform features such as our Engagement Management solution, however as part of our Phase 1 rollout we are excited to introduce our new “AI-as-a service” research solution.

Verity already identifies numerous themes within content across the platform that are modeled after SASB’s framework, however we understand that a one-size-fits-all approach is rarely perfect. By working with your assigned Integration Strategist and a Verity Data Scientist – with further support from specialists at Databricks –  organizations can build custom libraries that leverage Verity AI to help them uncover the exact information and expertise on Verity that they need to carry out their work.
